For over 100 years, Columbia Lighting has been one of the premier manufacturers of commerical and industrial lighting products.
Columbia Lighting produces both indoor and outdoor fluorescent fixtures, extreme environment lighting, striplights, recessed architectural lighting, wraparound fixtures and more.
The company has long been a leader in the custom fluorescent lighting industry. Early on, in it’s formative years as a lighting supply company, Columbia Lighting developed a line of high-end recessed fluorescent troffers using Corning glass. Later, in 1966, the company pioneered the use of parabolic troffers, now a standard in the commercial lighting industry.
In recent years, after joining the Hubbell Lighting family, Columbia Lighting has continued this tradition of excellence and innovation by introducing products such as the VHC, or Very High Comfort, a parabolic fixture that provides glare-free lighting for computerized offices. Another breakthrough product is the the Zero Plenum™ Troffer, an revolutionary lighting solution for overcrowded ceiling plenums.
These days, Columbia Lighting products are available to contractors through electrical distributors nationwide. Chances are you’ve been in a building recently that used Columbia fixtures, buildings such as schools, libraries, office buildings, churches and hospitals. Columbia’s headquarters are in Greenville, South Carolina, and the company also has state-of-the-art plants in Bristol, Pennsylvania and Juarez, Mexico.
